Roel Janssen (b. 1947) is a financial-economic journalist, former editor of NRC Handelsblad and fervent marine yachtsman. In a variety of jobs over the past thirty years he has reported on great economic events and financial crises. He also writes thrillers and once contributed as a screen writer to the series De fractie (The Party). In 2007 Janssen won the Gouden Strop prize for his thriller De tiende vrouw (The Tenth Woman).
